Senior Portraits at West Point on the Eno River, Durham NC

Happy Spring all -

It’s Shannon, your Raleigh & surrounding areas photographer here and I have an exciting one for you today!

Preparing for your senior portraits should be a fun and exciting time. Kacy didn’t know where she wanted to take the photos except that Durham was most accessible for her. I suggested West Point on the Eno River, knowing the multiple mills and bridge would give a gorgeous backdrop in late February when the leaves have yet to bud. Kacy was happy with the suggestion and so the shoot was set!

Kacy came prepared in a white top and stylish blue jeans, which fit in beautifully with the natural and rustic setting of West Point on the Eno River in Durham, North Carolina. This girl is a vibe and I really feel that shows through in the photos.

We started an hour before sunset and I immediately knew this was going to be a fun shoot. For me, senior photos are more than a great smile or the trendy outfit. I want my model to feel like they were made to be in front of the camera, their personality shining through.

Kacy was a natural with a possible modeling career in her future after this shoot.

I had to include a few creative black and white photos - the aesthetic of some of these just absolutely called for it!

If you’re like me, you want more from this shoot. Luckily Kacy has booked the Combination Collection, which means we will be doing her in studio shoot at my Raleigh photography studio in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye out for those photos!
