Summer Blooms and Butterflies: The Perfect Backdrop for Raleigh Photography Sessions
Summer is in full bloom in Raleigh! I’m capturing butterflies on coneflowers, sunflowers, and evening primrose—just in time for upcoming engagement and maternity photography sessions. Let’s create stunning, natural images this season!

Summer fruit picking & plandid photos
Spend a peaceful summer morning blueberry picking at Herndon Hills Farm in Durham, North Carolina. This local gem is perfect for families, couples, or solo adventurers looking to slow down and enjoy nature. As a photographer, I recommend snapping a few relaxed “plandid” photos when you first arrive—before the sun (and sweat) kicks in. Discover tips for natural-looking portraits and make the most of your farm day photo moments.

Bluebird Birthday Cards!
I got my first set of greeting cards to sell for the studio. These Bluebird - Happy Birthday cards will be available for sale in my Raleigh Studio 1 for $5 or 5/$20 - envelopes included!
Speaking of greeting cards - did you know I can help you make your own greeting cards with the images from your shoot? Whether it’s senior pictures for graduate cards or engagement photos for save the date cards - let me take one thing off your to-do list and have those cards created and shipped straight to you.

Weekend Shoots & First 5K
I spent much of Saturday in the studio - helping clients with their international passports from France to Canada to US, as well as some headshots for those needing updated photos for their LinkedIn and business websites.
Sunday I ran my first 5k with my rescue dog Indy at the fundraiser for Second Chance NC Pets in Cary, North Carolina.

The Caterpillar or the Spider
A story of a fledgling Carolina Chickadee having a meal & an ode to mothers everywhere.

The Research Triangle in Spring
Spring in the Triangle means sprouting garden beds, dog walks, and exploring nature trails—and I’ve been soaking it all in, from Barred Owls calling along the White Oak Creek Greenway to Red-Shouldered Hawks soaring overhead. As the season unfolds, I’m also gearing up for a busy stretch in my Raleigh, North Carolina studio—capturing timeless family moments, professional headshots for new graduates entering the job market, and meaningful couple photos with the same love I bring to every outdoor adventure. Follow along for photography tips, seasonal stories, favorite local parks, and behind-the-scenes looks at both natural and studio settings.
