Frequently Asked Questions

Passport photos - Can I just go to a drugstore?

If you are applying for a U.S. passport and don’t care about the quality - YES, drugstore/chain quality should be fine and cheaper. HOWEVER, for international passport photos and citizenship applications, I highly encourage avoiding chains. They are rarely able to do these correctly and many of my clients come to me and Rob to have them redone.

Are you available for onsite shoots?

ABSOLUTELY! Having the studio location is wonderful to avoid variables such as bad lighting or iffy weather, but some shoots like maternity and engagement shoots really just pop outdoors. There might be a location fee depending on how far away it is, but reach out to discuss!

I am ready to book a package shoot- Is there a deposit?

It depends! If the package is $400 or greater, there will be a $200 deposit at the time of scheduling. If we need to reschedule - no problem, but the deposit is nonrefundable if you have to cancel altogether.

I don’t want a white background for my studio shoot - is that all that’s available?

Not at all - we can do white, gray, mottled gray, black OR we can superimpose a virtual background behind you. Check out my portfolio or take a look at this picture for examples of virtual backgrounds I can provide!

What payments do you take?

I can take cash, check, CashApp, Venmo, or credit card. As a small business - cash or check is greatly preferred and appreciated & goes a long way in helping me keep prices down!

Are shoot prices negotiable?

Prices are firm as advertised :) I feel my work is priced at fair market value and includes tax. Pay with cash or check for a 3% cash discount.

Feel confident about your payment knowing that when you book with me, you’ll book with someone who gives 110% to every shoot, makes sure you have fun, and gives back to the community at the end of the day.
